Sophie is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Frontier Global Underwriting Limited. With over 20 years’ experience underwriting Financial Institutions classes of insurance, Sophie is a market leading figure in emerging markets business. She has developed a reputation as one of the go to primary lead underwriters in the Bankers Blanket Bond market. Most recently, Sophie held the position of Head of Financial Lines at a leading Lloyd’s syndicate managing a global portfolio. Sophie has a BA Honours degree from the University of Manchester. She has travelled extensively throughout Latin America, Asia and the Caribbean during the course of her career.

Joel is Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Frontier Global Underwriting Group. Joel commenced his career on the AIG graduate program in 2005 and has over 20 years’ global insurance experience, having lived and worked in Australia, Asia and the UK. He has been employed by four of the world’s largest global insurers in roles spanning underwriting, portfolio management and executive management. A specialist in Directors & Officers and Professional Indemnity across both Financial Institutions and Commercial risks, Joel also has deep expertise in digital assets and emerging risks, and has built Frontier’s cryptocurrency, blockchain and digital assets offering. Before co-founding Frontier in 2019, Joel was Head of Asia Pacific, Financial Lines for a specialist Lloyd’s syndicate in Singapore. Following the acquisition of Frontier by ATC Insurance Solutions in 2026, Joel and Sophie lead ATC’s international expansion. Joel holds an undergraduate degree in Criminology and a postgraduate degree in International Business from Queensland University of Technology, and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business.
